As the dawn breaks
A star rising from the east
Giver of life
Expropriates the sorrow
The warmth on my skin
As I wipe the sweat from my brow
It gives me strength
To carry on
A new sun rises
Breaking through the blackest of nights
Bringing new life
I’m feeling stronger
Forsaking my fragility
Pick myself up again
I know it’s only
A brief respite
Before the cold engulfs me once more

Dark clouds are drawing closer
Rough seas now lie ahead
Whilst further and further we sail into the night
These waters set to take us
Into the darkest depths
Poseidon’s waiting for us
But still we tempt our fate
We’re heading toward the horizon
Don’t know which way to turn
Trying to find
Our way back home
Moving ever closer
And yet it seems so far
Lest we falter
It will be over soon
The end is often seen
But how can we trust these signs
Maybe this time’s different
It could bring us back to life
